AMSIS is an independent, non-political, non-governmental organisation working to support individuals and groups whose access to education is limited, including as a result of poverty and social exclusion.
By running in support of AMSIS, you help young women from rural communities in Guinea-Bissau overcome one of the greatest barriers they face in higher education: limited access to computers and a lack of digital skills.
AMSIS is implementing a one-year pilot project in partnership with Jean Piaget University of Guinea-Bissau. The project aims to improve young rural women’s access to computers and equip them with the basic digital skills they need to participate fully in their studies, meet academic requirements and complete a university degree.
Through your participation, you support a project that:
- - improves young women’s access to computers;
- - strengthens their digital skills;
- - enhances their participation and position within the university;
- - increases their chances of completing their studies; and
- - opens up more opportunities in the labour market.
Let us help young women go further in education and in life.
AMSIS works on the principles of equality and local ownership, guided by the belief that communities should lead their own development.
