Oru mission at Reykjadalur is to offer a variety of opportunities where children and young people can enjoy themselves on their own terms. Friendship is an important part of our mission with the aim to enable all to establish friendships amoung peers.

Since 1963, a summer camp has been run by SLF at Reykjadalur in Mosfellsdalur. Summer and weekend stays are offered for disabled children and young people in Mosfellsdalur all year round. In addition, there are camps for children with ADHD, autism and mental challenges and a variety of social activities and peer support for young disabled people and their families. A total of about 400 children and young people use the various programs run by Reykjadalur each year.

Swimming and play have long been an important part of the stay in Reykjadalur and the pool is an essential part of the experience. Now our pool is in serious need of repairs and we are raising money to get the pool back in shape so that we can continue to have fun and make good memories.
