Samhjálp is a nonprofit and charitable organization, that has been helping the homeless and less fortunate people, in Iceland, for over 4 decades. Samhjálp has assisted in the rehabilitation of those addicted to drugs and alcohol. The organization has an good reputation and impeccable dedication to help all in need. Around 90 individuals are guranteed room and shelter all year around, which is provided by Samhjálp.
Here are some of the resources that are available through Samhjálp: Drug and Alcohol Abuse Rehabilitation Center. Post Recovery and Rehabilitation Center, for those who wish to continue in daily sober living. Additional Support Housing, is also available. The Soup Kitchen gives a daily meal for those in need, i.e. breakfast and a hot meal. It is open 365 days a year and we serve around 67.000 meals per year.
